Thank you for sending in your letters and comments to the TPWD and Governor Abbott.  We now need Central Texas Groundwater Conservation
District CTGCD to hear your concerns. Please see below for instructions.

Key Concerns to Include in Your Letter:
  • The proposed rock crushing facility will rely solely on well / groundwater to operate and try to manage to hazardous dust.
  • Many wells along FM 3509 have already went dry or have been severely weakened.
  • CTGCD has posted signed asking residence to conserve water. How can they allow industrial pumping when they are asking residents around Burnet to conserve water?
  • Residence around Burnet have had to resort to rainwater collection for their water needs, it is not fair that an industrial Rock Crushing facility can pull and waste more groundwater than a productive community / subdivision.

Subject: Urgent: Protect Our Groundwater – Deny the Permit for Burnet Ranch Investments (Asphalt Inc.) on FM 3509
Body:
Dear CTGCD Commissioners,
I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed Asphalt Inc. rock crushing facility on Hoover Valley Road in Burnet, Texas. This site will impact our already dire groundwater condition. This Rock Crushing facility will not help the community to conserve water it will deplete it at an alarming rate and hurt local ranchers and residence. Please deny this permit and protect our precious groundwater.
[In your own words insert a few bullet points to support your concerns.]
I urge CTGCD to stand with our community, protect our Groundwater, and Deny the permit.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]
